When I walked in to th erobotic room I saw so mny things that I want to try but I guess we're going to go step by step through the year. The last two days we got to go around two classrooms. The first day we got an orentation on where things are in the the class rooms. there were some TA's that we all got introduced to that are going to help us in class. We're going to be creating skate boards out of a press. The press is a machine that creates/shapes the layers of wood. We're going to be making them starting next semester. I can't wait I'm extremly hyped mostly because I'm a skater and I might need a board in the future. I have so many, I have 8 completes and 27 decks. I don't thnik one more borad won't hurt.

Today we got an orentation on a few things we are going to do this semester like the spaghetti bridge and making a website. Mr. Neat was showing us examples of the projects that we are going to do in the year. The spaghetti bridge has to withstand 297 garms of water.and the web site were still working on. Overall I'm having fun in this class.

This week we were still working on the bridge. We are gluing the bridge together right now. The glue dries faster than I thought it would,it's like elmers glue but different. It's pretty cool though. My group is just halarious. We all work together and we make jokes that just make us laugh so hard our sides start to hurt badly. were basicly multitasking. It makes the work alot fore fun.

This week was sooo... annoying. My computer keeped on getting copped by someone or by the teacher. I thought that was my job and stuff "racist wise."The whole time the teacher was teaching us my computer keeped on having some problems almost 100 percent of the time. so in other words i keped getting behind. In the mean time of waiting for help by the teacher, I was playing that pokemon go. Yes that pokemon go life is freaken great, the haters that dis the game suck a branch. I feel so bad for saying that guys, you guys are great. Yeah so all of those parts sucked, But otherwise my week was good.

The first day the overall things that I remmember was the orentation, the building room, Mr. Neato website, making the web sites, and building the spighetti bridge. The orentation was the video showing us a video about what were doing in class for the year. The building room is the room where we're going to build the robots or to build in in general. Mr. Neat made a web site example of what were going to be making on ours. In our group we got an elder. In other words an elder is a person that has been in robotics last year.

Today we're going to do both work on the website and we were going to work on the bridges. Today we're reviewing how to make a link to mech concepts.I didn't really know what to do thanks to my day dreaming. Then Matty one of the class mates helped me thank the lord. I don't know about you but I think Matty is a GOD! When she heled me she did it in only 2 seconds. I said, "your a freaken genius." I litterally bowed down to her. It wasn't nessessary but it needed to be done. After that I got bored and started to play Pokemon Go.

Today were going to work on our bridges again we're having a few problems with keeping the struts up but its ok. It's a pain to work with the group but theres many up sides to it. We all tell jokes we roast each other almost all the time. We also make jokes about some of the thing in the class. For example the spongebob thats attached to the surf board on the wall. it seems like hes trying to suck his own "dingaling." So yeah our day was very entertianing.

Today i learned how to make a background and to add more photos for my web site it was pretty cool. I love going on the computer its helped me with many things. I'm learning how to type alot more faster than I used to. I used to take for ever to type, but now im starting to learn the whole keyboard. At the same time Im having trouble keeping up alitte. the teacher is gonig a little too fast but I'm working my hardest. Plus I'm coming in at lunch to catch up to everyone else.

Today we changed groups and rooms. The group members are Nick, Edger, Shant, and me. when we were put together we basiclly know each other so we were all cracking up the most halarious jokes about the next project we're doing. today was the hardest I've laughed in school in 2 years my side was hurting like crazy I was litterally dying. But we got the project figured out. Our project is to make a machine that can tell the difference between a cat and a dog. we already came up with an idea to make a machine to be 3 1/2 ft high, and its going to have dog and cat treats to tell the difference. The project is going to be presented to a smart representative of microsoft. In that case i can't wait till we're done cause i have many questions for them.

whats up peps! Ok let's see there is a substitute that has cover over Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller is the teacher TA for the class. He's pretty chill if your on his good side. any ways today we're going to start on a new application program. We're starting to do sketch up. Instead of looking at the objects that other people made we're going to make the objects insead. I don't know what I'm gonig to be making. I think we're going to be creating what we were working on last week. We're going to make a machine that can tell the difference between a cat and a dog. I wonder what it's going to look like. I don't know what we're going to get if we win but i bet it's going to be something stupid. It doesn't really matter what we're getting the only thing I care about is winning.

Today in class I've been trying to work on my web site more and more to see what I can do better on it. When I was done Mr. Miller the teacher aid came up and wanted us to work on a measuring project. The measuring project is to saw down a block of wood to about 2 inches. When we get the block its around 3-4 inches. When we get the block we get a ruler and measure the the block up to 2 inches. Once you get it you mark it perfectly on the dot of 2 inches. When we marked the line we get the saw and cut the block very carefully and make sure it's dead on, flat, and perfect.

Today we are doing the same thing as Yesterday. We are cutting the blocks again but this time we're being tested on it. All groups are. So first we get to get the max of three blocks to use. Our group was the ones that have been working on it the most. We've been I guess the most focused group. Mostly because we are on the top charts of making the blocks. So I'm very hyped about that. For once I'm not really being very silly. Instead of goofing around and not getting things perfect, this time we actually got it perfect this time. Funny thing is being funny and stuff is my specialty. Not using it feels really weird. Oh my god I'm sounding like the end of a story in a cheese movie

Today the veterans created projects to try and get a cup of water in to a funnel. some parts where really hilarious. There were i think four different projects or four different groups or some thing idk. The funny part was when some of the veterans messed up and they splashed a lot of water on the floor. Of course we did it outside though. There won't be any space to do it in the class unless we moved every thing to the side, but at the same time the water would get every where. Anyways today I had a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next one. In the process I got a few videos too.

Today there was a lady named Meagan that came to the class. Meagan was talking about skillify. Skillify is a program that can help us in the future. It's helps us to succeed in life. It's a program that can help students learn how to do things in the future early. It's almost like a internship. To contact her she gave us a contact just in case we want to check into it. Right after she left Mr. Neat came up and said out of all of Meagan's trips to all the schools she's gone to this one was the most nicest class she's been to. When she said that it flattered him and made the same expression in class and it was kinda funny.

today we were using sketch up. The whole class got some janga blocks to make a shape and or form like to make a piramid. Then when we are done with the form of what ever we built with the janga blocks we made it on the computer. It was kinda hard to create. I had to look all around to make each block equal to make everything fit.

Today the class and I did competition where we were trying to get as many marbles in a bag as we can using tubes dr. Neat gave people numbers one and two. My number was one the group I was into was so annoying in our group we had so many people that were just joking around too much. Before we went outside we practiced a few times t get used to it. Then when we were done we headed out side to start the challenge. In the challenge there were two leaders ralhuol and Max. They told us what to do to win. It took us so many tries to get the marble into the bag, but then we finally got it in. Then we had to get another marble that was bigger than the last one, and we had to get that in as well as the small one again. It took us so many tries to get it but then Dr. Neat yelled out last try. The pressure was real. Then we got it first try and the other team messed up. But sadly even though we got all the marbles in before the other team we still lost. All of our group were so butthurt.

Today all we did was just looking at the passed stuff the robotics class was doing. Some of the veterans also had them on there websites too, so we were also looking at them almost the whole period. Sadly I don't any video to show.

Today we had to change groups for a new project. Our project is going to be making an arch that can't have any adhesive to it. It's becoming very hard to come up with the project.

Today was cool and funny. Dr. Neat showed us all a video of a robot that is controlled by no one. It was able to pick up boxes that were 10lb. It was also able to get up by itself. I think Futurama is coming true LOL. It was so cool I was so amazed how we finally made walking robots that can do things on there own. The funny thing was when this guy kept knocking the box out of the robots hands. Plus this guy knocked the robot over and then like I said it was able to get it's self back up. Then it just walked out of the building like he was done with everything that day hahahaha. After the video we worked on sketch up. We continued to work on our arch/bridges and I think I'm on to something. I finally was able to find a solution to making the bridges without adhesive. All I need to do is make it.

today is the competition aka the final. We started to make the line out of the bridge with a long block of wood. and we just finaly got it with barely any time to spare.

In the begining of class we were watching a relly cool music video I really thought it was going to suck because the beginnig was really weak. After awhile they picked up the pase and it got better and better. There were some weird parts in it but the middle to end was pretty sick.

Today we did the Wednesday Challenge. the wednesday challenge was to make a house made out of cards. as the usual no adhesive no hooking together anything. the cards were graded by the height of inches. our group didn't get the project finished so we didn't get graded on the project.

to we are reviewing the project from yesterday. during the challenge we were trying and trying over and over but the cards kept falling down. i was trying to mimic this video that I saw a few months back. It looked really easy when he was doing it the guy made it look too easy. it took us half of the period to just give up and try the regular thing the others were doing. we wasted time on what I thought would be easy. So yeah we didn't get any points but we tried our best.

Today we are watching the vetrans projects that they making. Mr. wilton was there to see the vetran's projects and how they work. During the projects i took some videos of all the projects.

Today we are working on the stair way to heaven. the stair way to heavan wasn't that hard as i thought it to be. Aren was diving/on the coputer showing us how to make the stairs.It took a while for me to get it but I got it.

Today we are getting new groups of three. My new group is with Elisabeth and Matty. Today is the wednesday challenge and the challenge is to estimate how many candy corns would it take to cover a whole entire peice of paper. we're trying to trace out the candy corn on the short and long sides of the paper and then times it by the sides like ?x?. (10 min. later) We just found out the answer, we times it by 16x31 and we got 496. so it'll take 496 candy corns to cover the page up.

In the begining of class I got to show my sketch up of the candy corn project. I guess everyone liked it because when I brought it up everyone was like "WOW!!..." Today was another catch up day. In the process of doing my Wednesday Challenge Template I was hanging out with Nicolas and Zack. They were helping me with the Wednesday Challenge forms. Then When we were all done we goofed around in class. I also learned how to make a power point link on my web site. Today the veterans are presenting there projects again. Keilah's group went first. They just showed the sketch up image of there project. Next Jacup's group went up and showed us theres. They also demistraited there project. When they showed us there was a problem. The water wasn't being suck up enough to get to the vacume. His main problem is the joints on the tubes. The joints were leaking water out from the middle of the tube. Next was Edgar's group

Today Dr. Neat show us a example of the bridge project. We're going to make an essay on any bridge we want. This essay has to be on Microsoft Powerpoint. This essay has to be 7 slides long. Today we where just catching up and doing a sketch up lego image. The lego image took me forever to do. There was a part where I couldn't get a shape to stop deleting its self. I didn't konow what to do until I just copied and pasted it in the same place. It was so easy at first until I got to the part of the push and pull. It took me the whole period to work on it lol.

Today the class is forming new groups. My group is with Edgar and Armen. We are making an E on sketchup. Then when I finish making the E on sketchup we had to make the measurements. Then when I was done making the measurements we called over the veterans and they gave us istructions to start the project. on a carboard from the vetans we started to make the E. To do that we got a ruler to trace out the E using the measurements. before we could go on to the next step the bell rung. we,re going to continue

Today the Vetrans are showing us/the class there projects that there still working on. Jacup's group was struggle a little. it was the same thing like last week. They couldn't get there vacumme to suck up the water. Today we formed a new group and we were learning how to use the weigher. We did a little project trying to estimate how much a bag of nuts and bolts weighed compared to a 1kg block. I started making The 1kg block on sketch up and I plan on finishing it tomorrow. I'm going to show the rest of the class tomorrow when I finish it.

Today we got to see the jpl/vetrans projects. Jacup's project finally sucked up all of the water and it sucked up the fish as well. I was very surprised. At the end of his presentation he asked for any sugguestions to make it easier to turn on and off the vacumme. I said that theres an outlet timmer. You connect the two ends to the it'll count down and when it gets to 0 it'll cut the eletrical current from the vacumme to stop it from sucking up the water.

Today I got called in to the workshop to do our physical basic training and we working on making a faze. A faze or the faze is a symbol for call of duty. We are going to be making it out of aluminum. To cut it we used the horizontal mill. We had to use the angle 45 degrees in order to cut the shape. The mill had to be lubed by a type of lubricant so it could cut more smoother the class usually calls it Smurf juice. We couldn't finish making it today so we're going to finish tomorrow.

Today we just free work day. I was finishing up on my website. I had to add some logins and some pictures and edit it a little bit. After that I started to help out my group with Nicolas and Zack. Our group is doing an essay on a bridge. When I was on my computer I checked my email and saw that Nicolas sent me a email of the essay that were working on. The essay is on the China bridge. We have to make a slideshow presentation on Google slides. The bridge has to have details about it like when was it built what inspired them to make it and who made it and so on and so on. Were almost finished with it but we still have a ways to go.

Today is the Wednesday Challenge. We are going to try to sheer force. Sheer force is when you have two things that are attached together and tried to measure how much it takes to pull them apart. To test that there's a contraption that pulls the object apart but in the process of it measures how much pull it's pulling.

Today was the final JPL group project we were doing the finals outside onto the stage in the quad the project started off with Connor's group but their project wasn't working so we moved on to cole's group then after that Jacob's group then Keilah's group I got some videos on what was giong on.

Today the robotics team was presenting a slideshow of what they did with their projects. At the competition they explain the failures the successful parts and explained that they we're being timed on how fast it poured in the cup. There were other contestants that almost had the same idea of the project. They had videos of what happened in slow motion cole's groups bungee cord stop The launch so a lot of water spilled all over. Keilys group did the same thing and showed that the holder that was holding the cup was loose. So yeah the contest went on for a few hours. Then they left.

Today we did a little project using a gramcracker, a marsmellow, and a pretzel. We were estimating the height of the whole thing. Then we did a sketch up on the items the whole period.

Today I made a blue print of our jpl groups our project and listing down what we need. Before I started to draw the prints Ihad to measure how big every thing needed to be. after that I stared to draw the prints. FYI my drawing sucks so I had to use a ruler to draw straight. I basiclly took the whole period to draw the blue print. The resorces will be provioded by Dr.Neat to make it.
